Rti
Rti,
HOW I MET RTI
Dear RTI,
My journey toward listening to Radio Taiwan International began in ages, approximately from the year 1999 during the era of vibrancy in the 'Short Wave' form of airing and broadcasting. What pushed me to start listening to RTI was because I wanted to compare and know more about the genesis or historical bond or fracas between China and Taiwan, because to me history is a lesson that everyone should embrace to amend future.
My keen interest in reading led me to know about Hong Kong and Macao handing over to the Chinese Mainland years back but have not much idea about the Taiwan case. So,I became very much interested in Taiwan's case…I guess this contribute to my further interest in listening to RTI.
However, over the years, I can say I've learnt a lot following through the RTI programmes via short wave radio, and most times via the online internet programming and has helped me a lot…more grease to your elbows!
Over the years, following your online programming has helped me to know more and something about the Taiwanese culture, palatable cuisines and family livelihood, and over the years my twice visit to China Mainland has broadened my thinking and knowledge about Taiwan considering both Taiwan and China are two nations with same background, cultural heritage and root. And I so much wish to visit Taiwan to have similar overview and physical knowledge and understanding of Taiwan and its great people through the RTI listenership.
I actually do not have pictures but right deep inside me, I know I love Taiwan, and wishes her and her great people peace, love and success, and hope they will excel more in all endeavors to reach level of advanced development and progress.
Finally, I wish to submit this entry not only to win but to send message from my deepest heart filled with love and peaceful wishes to Taiwan and her great people.More grease to your elbows RTI, and more grease to the entire staff of the RTI. Long Live Taiwan, Long Live My Country Nigeria!
Best wishes always, and thank you for giving us the listeners the opportunity to participate in your contest.
Your Listener,
Salisu Muhammad Dawanau,
NIGERIA.
